So, this is long in coming, but I'm finally starting to blog for an online news blog that deals mainly with news and culture from China!:D I heard about the position through a friend of mine. She's now one of the editors of the website, but it was started by a Professor at UC Berkeley who's in the Graduate school of Journalism. I contacted him, and his wife contacted me back (she's in charge of it) and said that she'd love for me to post news/info about business/economics in China as that has been their weak-spot! So now I'll be hopefully regularly posting, perhaps twice or three times a week to the site:). It's chinadigitaltimes.net , and here's my first post!:) : chinadigitaltimes.net/2009/04/china-and-taiwan-deepen-economic-ties/

I have recently discovered a love for google reader!:D I absolutely love how I can access blog entries so easily. I've subscribed to exactly 5 blogs that basically sums up my interests in the here and now. A blog on personal finance, a blog by an economist (random tips and insight), a blog on career advice from an old HR manager, a blog on politics, and a friends blog-which is mainly Christian. I would have subscribed to a news blog, but I much rather prefer going to my news sites. Ah, this is where I will spend most of my time:) Yay for google reader! Oh and I must add that Firefox is the best browser ever!

P.S. yes I changed my layout again...I swear this will be the last time for a while.

So,  my cousins wanted to read my blog, and since they sent me links of their blogs, I most happily obliged them by giving my link. But, apparently livejournal is uh BLOCKED in China? So now I'm extremely frustrated with the censorship going on there. I can't believe the govt. would be so paranoid. Usually, I'm pretty lax about the Chinese government and I think they are making big progress from what it was before. Yeah, so they censor a lot of u.s. based blogging sites, so its just a tad annoying. I just made a quick MSN blog to update them on how I'm doing, aka copying pasting my lj entries there....I know MSN won't be blocked because Microsoft was the only company who managed to make a contract with the Chinese govt. about not blocking their MSN blogging site...or something to that effect.:/ and this totally sucks in another aspect, which is that if I do study abroad (have yet to hear from them) , then I won't be able to update my livejournal! which was kinda brought about because I wanted a blog to update my travels...ah well, I still love this blog>.<.
