So,  today was the first day of my internship, unexpectedly, it turned out pretty good. I don't know why I was so nervous/scared out of my wits, I guess being up since 3am does things to your brain. Yes, because I had to go to work at 9am today, I had to get up at like 3am in LA, to catch my 6am flight to Berkeley and then take BART to SF right in time for work. Man and I worked until 5:20 today...I could not be more exhausted. Funnily though I was not tired at all during work. Even though all I did was data entry for cash receivables for 7 hours, time literally flew by. And it was kinda fun. My co-worker a Treasury Analyst is young and fun, my boss has the most sarcastic sense of humor (though she is super nice), and the VP is intimidating yet makes you feel oh so welcomed.

I've learned that being behind 2 months on data entry for one specific project/task can literally take the whole day to finish! Haha, aka I was the one who ended up doing it. I think I was supposed to do something else but HR didn't register my user info or name so I was unable to log onto the internet and stuff. Thus I was stuck with data entry-I think they're actually going to make me do some auditing! hahaha oh and for lunch....I had a sandwich and saw Jenn for a grand total of 5 minutes-darn being so far away from each other! I think that my like for a job, even such as data entry, PROVES that I am more of a working person than a studying person. Even though I'm exhausted from a long day, I love the feeling of not doing anything at night, or not feeling the pressure to do anything at night:). I love working life...so far, this first day....hahaha we'll see in a week:) But tomorrow I'm going to lunch with my co-worker, wednesday is lunch with the treasury department plus staff meeting. That will be interesting to see:) And my co-worker promised I'd do more "exciting" things than data entry. I'm looking forward to learning a lot about accounting and finance through the real world:) Oh my co-worker was a finance major...wahahahhahaha, I can rely on her to give me some advice about the field...I'm kind of confused though about the treasury department...is it separate from accounting? Apparently they do have their own corporate accounting department...hmmm (there's a really cute guy there...:p). Something else I shall be asking:)

By the way, one of the downsides of work: HEELS! I HATE high-heels/pumps...my poor toes, two of them have huge nasty pus filled blisters:( just from today! even though I brought extra flip flops....boooo, I guess it's something I have to get used to.
